Month #1

First month is done! I lost only 4 pounds. I was down 8 pounds, but gained four back. I only cheated once on purpose, and twice on accident because of hidden wheat. I'm not sure if the first month is the hardest because I'm still getting used to making low-carb sugar free meals, or if it's the easiest because I'm excited and gung-ho ready to take on the challenge. I'm afraid that as the months go by I'll get bored and want to quit. I've never kept to a diet for longer than 30 days. I did a no chocolate diet for 30 days and a vegan diet for 30 days, but after the 30 days I say to myself, "I did it, now I can do whatever I want. So right now I do feel like quitting because I haven't lost 20 pounds in a month! Slow and steady change is hard! I want fast results and to see them now! I hate counting calories, weighing and measuring dividing and multiplying every time I eat something, but I know I am not doing a good keto diet without those things. I'm sure I eat more carbs than the recommended 24 carbs per day. Perhaps I should start doing that regularly. My friend invited me to go to the gym with her. I hurt!! I am not as excited about joining a gym after todays workout, but I know it will help me in the long run. This month's go-to recipe:

Has it only been 4 months? It feels like much longer! I cheated a few times this month, haven't worked out much and still lost 9 pounds...
